Accidental solstice

A friend travelled to Sweden last weekend to look for the solstice, but didn’t find it because over there the big day is on the 23rd. Myself, I went to a picnic at a London park and found a solstice without really looking for one. There was vegan cake, a range of hippy games, and free tuition on pure water. Going home afterwards I stopped at the corner shop to buy oranges and crisps. Maybe I’m in the wrong postcode for food purity? It will be a long time (maybe for ever) before Fresh and Wild opens up a branch round here…

  1. Admittedly, the pure water tuition was fascinating but had you stuck around ’til the elves came out you would have had the pleasure of listening to Northumbrian bagpipes!
