Lime Flowers at the Lime Jewel Launch
To Brixton for the launch of ‘A Lime Jewel‘ , and a very special evening with performances by poets, singers and story writers. All profits from book and teeshirt sales go to help build a stronger and more self-sufficient Haiti via the Lambi Fund, which has been active in Haiti since the 1990s.
Late in the evening, I learn that my daughter was in a car crash today. She is shaken but safe, her only injury rope burn from the seat belt, though a photo of the car shows how lucky she was to walk away. A tiny hint of what it must be like when your world changes suddenly, like it did for the people caught up in the Haiti earthquake.
